All mobile phone users in China registering new SIM cards require faces scanned before they are able to purchase SIM cards and this rule took effect form Sunday ( December 1 2019 ).
This guidelines Initially announced in September by Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the aims to protect the citizens form fraud, resold SIM cards, and illegal phone users and this move also makes Chinese mobile phone and internet users easier to track .
